Iced Strawberry Oat Matcha Latte

  • 8-10 serves

  • 30 minutes

  • Nut free

Ingredients:

  • 5 fresh strawberries, hulled and finely chopped (about ⅓ cup)
  • 2 tbsp of strawberry milk crushed tonic powder
  • 2 tsp of matcha crushed tonic powder
  • ¼ cup cold water
  • Ice
  • ½ to 1 cup oat milk
  • Maple syrup or honey, to taste (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Milk Layer: In a small bowl, mix the 2 tbsp of strawberry milk powder with 2 tbsp of water. Whisk aggressively. Add 1/4 cup of cold water.
  2. Prepare the Matcha: Sift the matcha powder into another small bowl to remove any lumps. Add the cold water and whisk vigorously in a zigzag motion until the matcha is fully dissolved and a frothy layer forms on top.
  3. Assemble the Latte:
    • Muddle strawberry with more strawberry milk powder and 1 tbsp of water at the bottom of a tall glass.
    • Fill the glass halfway with ice.
    • Pour oat milk over the ice, filling the glass to about two-thirds full.
    • Gently pour the prepared strawberry milk layer and then the matcha over the oat milk to create a layered effect.
  4. Sweeten (Optional): Taste the latte and, if desired, add maple syrup or honey to achieve your preferred level of sweetness. Stir gently to combine all layers before drinking.
