Savory Lentil Soup with Crushed Tonic Turmeric


1/2 turmeric #CrushedTonic

1 cup of Lentils

3 long carrots

1 bulb of sweet white onion (not red onion)

4 cups of low-sodium vegetable broth

1 tbsp of olive / coconut oil

2 tsp of thyme

2 bay leaves

salt and pepper



In one large pot, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil.

Add diced onion and carrots in to the heated oil. Stir until softened.

Add vegetable broth into the pot, along with the thyme and the bay leaves.

Add the turmeric crush (we used half), along with washed lentils.

Boil and simmer until the lentils are softened.

Salt and pepper (and add a spritz of lemon).
